Centrally located on the top floor of Hamilton’s City Hall is Bermuda’s oldest and largest art gallery. The Bermuda Society of Arts or BSoA, was originally set up more than 60 years ago by a group of 25 local artists so they could have regular exhibitions. From modest beginnings the Society has grown in strength and influence. Today, often referred to as the People’s Gallery, the tradition continues; and art show openings are held every third Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring all types of art. If you want to learn more about Bermudian art and artists, then the Bermuda Society of Arts is the ideal place to begin. Open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come in and take a look.
